What if the blessing is already yours?

Dear Friends,
I was talking with a close friend recently, and our conversation brought me back to a blessing by John O'Donohue that I've shared here before. Something shifted in me as we talked. I found myself wondering what it would mean to own this blessing's power as already present in me, rather than as something outside myself that I'm inviting in.
So I've reworked it into that voice and now extend this offering to you.
For Solitude by John O'Donohue | A Blessing, Reclaimed
I recognize in my life the presence, power, and light of my soul.
I realize that I am never alone, that my soul in its brightness and belonging connects me intimately with the rhythm of the universe.
I have respect for my own individuality and difference.
I realize that the shape of my soul is unique, that I have a special destiny here, that behind the facade of my life there is something beautiful and eternal happening.
I see myself with the same delight, pride, and expectation with which God sees me in every moment.
When I read it this way, it lands differently for me. It reminds me of who I am, who I am meant to be, and the depth of what's possible when I see and know myself this way. And it reminds me, too, of the power of offering this to you and others.
I'd love to hear how it lands and what this stirs in you.
With love,
Jennifer
